Recent News for Richmond CA Police Department:

- October 14, 2016 - RICHMOND — Three West County men have been captured as suspects in the deadly shooting of a Richmond man at a city stop not long ago, police said Thursday.

The men, distinguished as Richard Taylor, 19, and Anthony Tolliver, 22, of Richmond and Karmani Ely, 19, of San Pablo, were captured Tuesday on suspicion of the murder of 21-year-old Eric Brown, Richmond police Lt. Felix Tan said.

Around 11:30 p.m. Monday, Richmond police reacted to the 3500 piece of Morningside Drive for a report of shots discharged, and officers discovered Brown and another man on the ground.

In spite of life-sparing measures by police, Brown passed on at the scene, while the other man, a unidentified 19-year-old Rodeo man, was shot in the leg and is as of now recuperating, Tan said.

Investigators worked a 24-hour move taking after leads after the shooting, and one analyst took in the shooting was likely a medication arrangement that turned sour, Tan said.

"The office is to a great degree pleased with the manslaughter analysts and watch officers who kept their center in finding the culprits of this silly wrongdoing," Tan said in an announcement. "Additionally, we trust that these captures convey some conclusion and solace to Eric Brown's family."
