- August 8, 2016 - A 15-year-old kid died Friday in the wake of being maneuvered into active tide at Jupiter Inlet, police said. Edwin Castanon, 15, was swimming in the tidal pond territory at DuBois Park, 19075 DuBois Road, at some point before 5:45 p.m. when he was cleared into the delta by the tide. Spectators attempted futile to protect him and called for offer assistance. 

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue faculty, alongside the Jupiter police marine unit and vessels from the Tequesta Police Department, the U.S. Drift Guard, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, started looking the channel. They got assistance from boaters in the group and in addition the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit and individuals from the Jupiter Inlet Colony Police Department.
