Recent News for San Benito Texas Police Department:

Jan 9, 2017 - SAN BENITO — Police say they have been taking after a few leads with respect to the area of a missing San Benito man

Be that as it may, police still can't seem to discover him.

Luis Santos Villarreal Jr., 36, was most recently seen Thursday, Dec. 29, in the San Benito zone.

Police said he could drive a 2002 tan Nissan Altima, tag DPJ 6065.

Police Chief Michael Galvan said they are taking after a few leads including one lead that he had been found in the Brownsville zone.

The people group around there is asked to tell the San Benito Police Department in the event that they see him.

Villarreal is depicted as 5-feet, 11-inches tall, 280 pounds, bare, medium appearance with hazel/green eyes.

Police say Villarreal has a few tattoos: a tear drop on the base of his left eye, a lady on his neck, Brownsville, Tx, on his temple and a substantial Texas longhorn on his trunk.

Anybody with data on where Villarreal can be found is made a request to call San Benito Police at (956) 361-3880.

Send Books & Magazines

Many correctional facilities let families send books and magazines to an inmate — but almost all of them require the items to be brand-new and shipped directly from the retailer. Anything sent secondhand or repackaged at home is usually rejected at the mailroom. Ordering from a retailer that ships direct is the standard way to get reading material in.

Typical requirements (confirm with San Benito TX Police Jail first):
  • Must ship new, directly from the retailer — you can't forward it yourself.
  • Softcover / paperback only at most facilities (hardcovers are commonly banned).
  • No used or third-party marketplace sellers — new copies only.
  • Limits on quantity per package and how many packages may be pending.
  • Address it to the inmate's full committed name and ID number.
  • Use the facility's mailroom address, which can differ from the public address.
Mailing address on file for this facility:
601 Oscar Williams Rd. San Benito, TX 78586
Always include the inmate's full name and ID, and confirm whether books go to a separate mailroom address.
Before you order: book policies vary by facility and change often, and a growing number of jails accept no physical books at all (reading is provided through electronic tablets instead). Confirm San Benito TX Police Jail's current policy by calling 956-361-3880 so your package isn't returned.
