February 24th 2017 - COLLIERVILLE, TN (WMC) - Collierville Police Department is examining a shooting in the Walmart parking garage. With the shooting coming in an indistinguishable week from an outfitted theft of the Collierville Verizon Wireless store, many are inquiring as to whether wrongdoing has expanded in Collierville. Examiners raced to the scene on Poplar Avenue close Highway 72 around 7 a.m. A Walmart worker said he was leaving work when two men in a red auto came up to him. One of the men discharged one shot at him, and afterward the auto drove off on Poplar Avenue. "This one is a quite enormous stunner, that it occurred in this parking area," occupant Steve McGowan said. Police said the two men took off in a red Mustang. They said the casualty and no less than one of the suspects knew each other and the shot discharged was focused on and disengaged. "What we are encountering are some disconnected occurrences all in all, and we must screen that and check whether that transforms into a pattern," Collierville police skipper Chris Locke said. Locke said they are not seeing an expansion in wrongdoing. "Now, we're not seeing consistent increments or anything that would persuade that wrongdoing is on the expansion overall," Locke said. "It upsets me when we have episodes like this," occupant Kyle Pirani said. "It's concerning,"McGowan said.
Many correctional facilities let families send books and magazines to an inmate — but almost all of them require the items to be brand-new and shipped directly from the retailer. Anything sent secondhand or repackaged at home is usually rejected at the mailroom. Ordering from a retailer that ships direct is the standard way to get reading material in.
- Must ship new, directly from the retailer — you can't forward it yourself.
- Softcover / paperback only at most facilities (hardcovers are commonly banned).
- No used or third-party marketplace sellers — new copies only.
- Limits on quantity per package and how many packages may be pending.
- Address it to the inmate's full committed name and ID number.
- Use the facility's mailroom address, which can differ from the public address.
