Recent News for Rogers Arkansas Police Department:

MARCH 21, 2017 - ROGERS (KFSM) - A Lowell man kicked the bucket on Sunday (March 19) after his vehicle struck two people on foot and hit a shaft at a Rogers Walmart around 4 p.m. Fredrick Guidry, 79, was driving in the Walmart parking garage on S. Lovely Crossing Boulevard when he hit two people on foot who were strolling into the store, said Keith Foster, Rogers Police Department open data officer. Guidry's vehicle then hit a post and ceased before the store, Foster said. Guidry was articulated dead at the scene by crisis work force. The people on foot were distinguished as Joshua Smith, 27, and Ashley Grishby, 27, both of Bentonville, Foster said. They were carried to a Springfield, Missouri clinic, where they were recorded in basic condition. Daniel Oxford, Benton County coroner, said he trusted the mischance was created by a restorative episode, however he is anticipating toxicology comes about, which could take six to two months. Police have not discharged any data about what brought on the mischance.

Send Books & Magazines

Many correctional facilities let families send books and magazines to an inmate — but almost all of them require the items to be brand-new and shipped directly from the retailer. Anything sent secondhand or repackaged at home is usually rejected at the mailroom. Ordering from a retailer that ships direct is the standard way to get reading material in.

Typical requirements (confirm with Rogers Jail first):
  • Must ship new, directly from the retailer — you can't forward it yourself.
  • Softcover / paperback only at most facilities (hardcovers are commonly banned).
  • No used or third-party marketplace sellers — new copies only.
  • Limits on quantity per package and how many packages may be pending.
  • Address it to the inmate's full committed name and ID number.
  • Use the facility's mailroom address, which can differ from the public address.
Mailing address on file for this facility:
1905 S. Dixieland Rogers, AR 72758
Always include the inmate's full name and ID, and confirm whether books go to a separate mailroom address.
Before you order: book policies vary by facility and change often, and a growing number of jails accept no physical books at all (reading is provided through electronic tablets instead). Confirm Rogers Jail's current policy by calling 479-636-4141 so your package isn't returned.
