Goose Creek Correctional Center is a medium security prison which is located in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska and is classified as a state facility. This institution began accepting inmates once original construction was completed and service started in 2012 but has been renovated/expanded since that time. Goose Creek Correctional Center has a prison capacity of 1535 inmates. Prisoners at Goose Creek Correctional Center are housed in separate areas depending on the crimes they committed, their current risk assessment, and their behavior. This facility is currently under the supervision of Warden John Conant and houses male offenders.  The center consists of three buildings where both unsentenced and sentenced offenders reside.  Goose Creek Correctional Center employees 333 individuals, mostly correctional officers and medical staff.
