St. Croix Correctional Center is located in the city of New Richmond, Wisconsin which has a population of 8,610 as of 2013 residents. St. Croix Correctional Center began processing inmates once the original construction was completed and service started in 1980 but may have been expanded or renovated since that time, to accommodate the growing prison population. This facility is currently under the supervision of Superintendent Ms. Jo Skalski and houses Male and Female offenders.

- The St. Croix Correctional Center is located in the city of New Richmond and was styled into the Challenge Incarceration Program (CIP) in January 1991. The site consists of a 56,000 square foot metal fabricated structure, completed in 1994, and expanded in 2014.  This structure houses the center’s administrative and staff offices, inmate dormitories, food services, a combined dining hall/gymnasium, laundry, and general support services.  A modular structure was also built in 2003 to house female offenders in separate dormitories.  Fifty-six staff (31 security and 25 non-security) members provide supervision and programming.
